I was a bit concerned this smaller cuisinart food processor wouldn't be vey functional but I was wrong.

I purchased it to chop carrots for our toothless bunny and it works great. Can't put too much carrot in at a time but this is more than sufficient for what I bought it for. The price is right and it's very handy.

My Black & Decker 2-cup mini food prep was too small for a couple of tasks for which I frequently used it, so I "retired" it in favor of Cuisinart's 3-cup mini processor. I have used it for two weeks and couldn't be more pleased with it. It is exactly the right capacity for the type of food preps that I bought it for, plus it performs them so much better than my B&D. Thanks Cuisinart for this great little product!

I purchased it to grind my urad dal for idlies and for small amounts of chutneys. it didnot grind urad dal into a fine paste. also if u add some dals as seasoning for chuyneys, its a failure. so its ok for chutneys witoiut dals. finally my purpose is not fulfilled completely

onions are not chopped equally. blender is a better option

This food processor works very well, almost too well for its size. It is extremely easy to clean-up, however because of its small capacity, you have to be careful not to overfill it with anything slightly liquid or it will leak out the top. I wish the lid would seal better, but this seems to be a problem with any food processor. It is also plenty powerful, but you have to be careful not to over do it. I make a lot of homemade salsa, and I had to learn quickly just to "blip" it a few times otherwise I would end up with salsa soup.

Overall, you can't beat it for the price. I don't use a food processor for very many things, so having a cheap small one that works well and doesn't take up much space is perfect for me.

I am very disappointed with this Cuisinart chopper. It is cheaply made and very light. The so-called brushed stainless looks and feels like plastic. I bought it to replace a smaller Kitchenaid chopper that had a smaller canister. The Kitchenaide , although smaller , is heavier. The long prong on the back of the Cuisinart is so thin that I believe it will crack in time.

I like this small food processor. I purchased this from a local retailer and the price was very good, too. If you just need a food processor and nothing else, get this one. But if you need to make smoothies or want less cups to wash. You have to get the Cuisinart's Smart Stick Hand Blender with different attachments. That one is a more complete system. You can use that one as a food chopper/grinder, as a blender, or to whip eggs, really is a more versatile tool. But if you just want a small food processor. This is a good one.

It's a simple food processor, small footprint. It has 2 settings, Grind or Chop, which are really almost the same thing. Just with Chop the blade spins clockwise while with Grind it spins CCW. End result is you still get a puree-like consistency. I bought it for making things like pestos and salsas, which it does quite well. If you were looking for something where you could 'chop' chunks easily, this will not do it for you. At 30 bucks though, it sure beats finely chopping things by hand.

Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I just wanted an inexpensive, small processor to have in my tiny dorm-apartment. This thing is great for that.

But you can't expect a chef-quality machine. Stuff will get stuff on the top of this processor, and the bottom will almost liquify before you can get the top to the bottom. The solution is to only process small batches, which can be annoying. But for occasional use, this thing is great.

We have used a Cuisinart Food Processor of the same model for 30 years (I think) and find this one just as well made and useful. The added cover for chopping herbs without the tube makes the new machine much easier to clean and even easier to use for anyone knife-phobic and has to get food on the table quickly.

This is one of the small kitchen appliances that I use the most. I don't really use the special slicing or grating blades that much (although the slicing blade is perfect for apple pie), but I chop and puree the heck out of fruits, vegetables, and nuts, as well as making sauces and things that need both chopping and emulsifying. The capacity is perfect since I'm usually cooking for just me - there have only been a couple of times I was chopping for a large dinner and wish I had the larger one.

I also appreciate that it's loaded with multiple safety mechanisms to make extra sure that you don't accidentally chop your hand off.

I really , really , really like this food processor. It is a great time saver and has brought my cooking to a new level because who has a lot of time these days... Clean up is a unbelievably easy. Now I want to cook all the time! I actually go out of my way to find recipes that include lots of ingredients requiring chopping, slicing, dicing and grating. Before I used to avoid these types of recipes because I couldn't stand having to do all the prep work. This is the best thing I have bought myself in a long time. I can't believe it has taken me so long to buy a food processor. I think this is the best food processor - it's very easy to use, the instruction book & video are clear and understandable. While I'm sure the bigger, fancier processors can do a lot more, this one is perfect for me since it is easy to clean, simple to understand and easy to use.
